Back in the day people on my block were very talented; dancers, singers, musicians, bongo players, etc. When we had a power outage, we picked a porch, lit candles down the steps, each step on each side. People gathered to see the show. Only the parents were probably worrying about the outage. The younger people, in which it was a lot of us, we performed for everybody. These were the fun days. Everybody got up and did their thing. We were all good at what we could do, and had enough to perform until the lights came back on.
